A Loud House Christmas (originally as The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas!) is a live-action Christmas television film based on the Nickelodeon animated series, The Loud House. This will be the first The Loud House media to be in live-action, and the first television film. It is scheduled to air on Nickelodeon in November 2021.

The film was first announced on February 19, 2020, titled The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas!, and a premiere in late 2020. The film will depict Lincoln and Clyde working to preserve the Christmas traditions when the Loud sisters plan to have their Christmas plans elsewhere. Filming took place in Atlanta.

On March 18, 2021, it was announced that Wolfgang Schaeffer and Jahzir Bruno were cast as Lincoln and Clyde, respectively. On August 23, 2021, other cast members of the film were announced, including Lexi Janicek as Lisa, Ella and Mia Allan as Lola and Lana, Aubin Bradley as Lucy, Morgan McGill as Lynn, Catherine Ashmore Bradley as Luan, Sophia Woodward as Luna, Dora Dolphin as Leni, Lexi DiBenedetto as Lori, Charlotte Ann Tucker as Lily, Brian Stepanek reprising his regular series voice role as Lynn Loud Sr., and Muretta Moss as Rita Loud. On October 15, 2021, it was announced that the film will premiere on November 26, 2021, on both Nickelodeon and Paramount+.

Plot[]

Lincoln Loud is gearing up for the ultimate Christmas until he finds out that most of his sisters have plans to be elsewhere for the big day. Determined to remind his family that they all need to be together, Lincoln and his best friend Clyde McBride embark on a mission to preserve the family’s holiday traditions.

Production[]

Production for the television movie began on April 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia through its working title "The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas!". The live-action TV movie is written by Liz Maccie and directed by Jonathan Judge who also serves as executive producer. Michael Rubiner and Matt Bierman serve as executive producers. Darlene Caamaño Loquet, Senior Vice President of Nickelodeon Movies, serves as producer. Production of The Loud House: A Very Loud Christmas! for Nickelodeon is overseen by Shauna Phelan, Senior Vice President, Live-Action Scripted Content, and Zack Olin, Senior Vice President, Live Action. On August 23, 2021, Nickelodeon revealed the full cast of the special. A Loud House Christmas is set to air on November, though no specific date has been announced.

  • Brian Stepanek is the only voice actor to reprise their role.
  • Four of the actresses playing the sisters are sisters in real-life. Lana and Lola are played by twin sisters Mia and Ella Allan, and Luan and Lucy are played by sisters Catherine and Aubin Bradley.
