The Winx Club Comic Series (more commonly known as the Winx Club Magazine) is a comic book series based on the Winx Club and its spin-off series, The World of Winx Published by the series' creator Rainbow SpA and then Distributed by Play Press[1] released in 2010. In 2012, to coincide with Nickelodeon producing new seasons of the series, VIZ Media began publishing the Winx Club comics. The comics were re-translated and placed in volumes consisting of two comics each. The comics were also slightly re-ordered by placing A Friend for Bloom as the first story in the series.
Overview
As of November 2020, over two hundred issues have been produced, including two issues focusing on the movies and three Halloween issues contained within their own miniseries. The first twelve are based directly on episodes of the first season, while the rest focus on other adventures.

Comic history
An ongoing comic book serial has been published since the series' premiere.[2] Over 180 Italian issues have been released as of 2019. In 2014, the comics' worldwide circulation was 25 million copies, with 55,000 copies sold each month in Italy.[3] In the United States, VIZ Media translated a few of the first 88 issues and released them across nine graphic novel volumes.[4] Other tie-in books unrelated to the comics have been produced, starting with character guides distributed by Giunti Editore.[2] Nickelodeon's partner Random House has published English-language Winx Club books since 2012.[5]
