Beavis and Butt-Head is an MTV franchise created by Mike Judge. the franchise itself follows the eponymous Beavis and Butt-Head, both voiced by Judge, a pair of teenage slackers characterized by their apathy, lack of intelligence, lowbrow humor, and failure to attract women. the franchise also created a spinoffs Daria and then Jodie for MTV's good measure after the show was cancelled in 2011.
The franchise itself was introduced and became extremely popular in the 1990s, but it returned to MTV in October 2011.
Beavis a Metallica shirt except for the Genesis game in which his shirt says DEATH ROCK. Beavis is constantly laughing. Beavis is neurotic and he reacts poorly to sugar. When he ingests sugar, he becomes incredibly hyper, pulls his shirt over his head and becomes the alter-ego The Great Cornholio, shouting "I am Cornholio! I need TP for my bunghole!".
While still dumb, Butthead can be considered the slightly more intelligent of the two. Butthead wears an AC/DC shirt. He is a big fan of the word "cool" and he is constantly laughing. Butthead loves junk food, especially burritos, nachos, and soda.

In 2008, Judge stated, "I like to keep the door open on Beavis and Butt-Head, because it's my favorite thing that I've ever done. It's the thing I'm most proud of." However, he stated his reservations regarding the "year and half [to] two and a half years" that it would take "to do that right," saying that a revival project "comes up every three years." In 2009, while promoting his film Extract, Judge said he would like to see the characters on the big screen again, and that "I kind of think of them as being either 15 or in their 60s. ... I wouldn't mind doing something with them as these two dirty old men sitting on the couch."
In 2018, Judge told Rotten Tomatoes that the idea of doing a second Beavis and Butt-Head movie had been brought up two months prior, saying "It's just a matter of coming up with an idea that feels like it's worth doing." In 2019, Judge again reiterated interest in a potential movie, stating, "I've got some ideas. I think it would have to be something that makes it relevant today. I think I might've figured out a way to do that." He further stated that he would probably direct it.
On February 24, 2021, the Paramount+ streaming service announced a new movie based on the series. Production on animating the movie started on December 2021.
Possible live-action film[]

He also revealed that Johnny Depp had expressed interest in the role of Beavis, having imitated the character while Marlon Brando imitated Butt-Head during the production of Don Juan DeMarco (1995). He also stated in an interview that "Seann William Scott's kinda got Butt-Head eyes."
