Blue is one of the main characters in Blue's Clues. She is the pet of Steve, Joe, and Josh. In each episode, she leaves her blue paw prints on clues for the characters and audience to explore the surrounding environment. She is voiced by Traci Page Johson who is also one of the executive producers of the show. In Blues Room, she is voiced by Victoria Pontecorvo and puppetered by Leslie Rudolph.
As her name suggests, Blue is a blue puppy with lighter blue spots on her coat. Everything about this dog is blue even her nose and paw pads. In Blue Clues and You, one of her paw pads has a glossy and shimmery finish to them. Originally, Blue was going to be a blue cat with the show's title named Blue Prints.
Personality[]
Like many puppies her age, she is kind, energetic, curious, and loves to play games which are the main premises of the show. She only speaks in woofs and barks but Steve, Joe, Josh, and other characters can perfectly understand her. Blue also demonstrates human-like behavior such as drawing, painting, read and dance to music unlike most of the animal characters in the show. She loves playing her favorite game, Blue's Clues by leaving paw prints around the house so that the characters and audience can learn and explore at the same time.
