Blue's Clues is a preschool animated/live-action hybrid television series created by Nickelodeon and the executive producers Todd Kessler, Traci Page, and Angela Santomero. It premiered on Nickelodeon on September 8, 1996. Blue' Clues focuses on the titular character Blue, a dog and her owner Steven (Joe in the fifth and sixth seasons) who discovers the world around them by finding various clues. Blue's Clues became one of the most influential and groundbreaking educational shows and a huge success for Nickelodeon. The show has also won several awards throughout the years.
The animation style is similar to another Viacom-owned show, South Park. Both of these use cutout animation and Blue's Clues was the first show of its kind to use this technique.
It is the 2nd longest-running Nick Jr. program after Dora the Explorer.
