Boots is a grey monkey with a pink face and his hands are the same color as well. His belly is yellow and the tip of his tail. His most notable trait is his red boots, and he is rarely seen without them. His hair is grey as well.
Boots could more than likely be a new world monkey because he is seen gripping to trees with his tail, an ability that old world monkeys lack.
Personality and traits[]
Boots is a young monkey with lots of energy who loves to bounce and perform cartwheels, aerobics, climb on trees, and swing on vines to entertain Dora. While he might be as brave or smart as her, he is always willing to give a helping hand. He is also learning how to speak Spanish as well thanks to Dora. He has gotten a little braver and even had an episode to himself, even though Dora wasn't around. He still had his friends to help him.

Boots is Dora's best friend and always goes on adventures with her, even though he might not be as brave as her. Boots first met Dora in the origin episode "Dora's First Trip." She met Boots by stumbling across some footprints which led to a tree. After meeting the monkey with his red boots, Swiper attempts to steal Boot's boots until Dora said "swiper no swiping!"
