CBS Films is a dormant theatrical film production company (after transitioning to streaming releases) that launched in 2007 under the ownership of CBS Corporation (currently ViacomCBS). It has origins in Cinema Center Films which operated from 1967 to 1972 and CBS Theatrical Films which operated from 1979 to 1985. The studio transitioned to streaming releases for CBS All Access for films released in 2020 and later. The theatrical release division was most likely taken over by Paramount Pictures, with the CBS-branded company as a streaming content provider. Its 2011 rebranding is notable in that the CBS eye logo was removed (making the division one of the few CBS-related / branded properties without the symbol).
