CBS Sports Network is a television network that launched in 2002 as National College Sports Network (which was a short lived name). Its name was changed to College Sports Television in 2003. Roughly halfway through the existence of College Sports Television, the first Viacom separated to form the second Viacom and CBS Corporation, as College Sports Television was a CBS subsidiary, the ownership was moved to them. While under the ownership of CBS, College Sports Television was renamed to CBS College Sports Network (to better connect with the CBS brand). CBS Sports Network became its final name in 2011. On December 4, 2019, ViacomCBS was formed and took ownership of this network. As a sports broadcaster, its current competitors are ESPN and NBCSN.
