Hawaii Five-O is a CBS police drama franchise created by Leonard Freeman for the CBS Entertainment Group. It even started it's own tv specials during the 1968 show's run and even a 2010 tv show remake is shown on the CBS channel.

The plot of the franchise[]

The franchise starred Jack Lord as Detective Captain Stephen "Steve" McGarrett, the head of a special state police task force in Hawaii which was based on an actual unit that existed under martial law after World War II. The theme music composed by Morton Stevens became especially popular. Many episodes in the series would end with McGarrett's catchphrase, "Book 'em, Danno!"
