
Judge Joe Brown is a reality court show television series produced by Big Ticket Productions and syndicated by CBS. starring former judge Joseph Brown. It aired on September 14, 1998, and ended May 22, 2013, with 15 seasons throughout. Like Judge Judy, Brown works on small cases and before airing both parties must sign an arbitration contract. Judge Joe Brown had the 2nd-highest viewership ratings of a court room show, behind Judge Judy.
The show went through many distributors: for the 1st season, the episodes were distributed by Worldvision Enterprises (a division arm of Spelling Entertainment), seasons 2-8 were distributed by CBS Paramount Domestic Television, and the final seasons were distributed by CBS Television Distribution.
