MTV Base is a 24-hour music channel owned by MTV through ViacomCBS International Media Networks. MTV Base is provided in four countries: UK, Ireland, Africa, and France. The first brand (UK and Ireland) launched in 1999, while Africa's launched in 2005 and France two years after. The French version was closed in 2015, while the others still remain operational.
