Mighty Mouse is anthropomorphic mouse with superpowers created by Terrytoons. He was originally called Super Mouse and made his debut in The Mouse of Tomorrow. His name was changed to "Mighty Mouse" in the 8th short, The Wreck of Hesperus. In all, he starred in 80 shorts. Most of his rescues are him saving mice from large prey animals such as cats, wolves, and foxes. One recurring character, in particular, Pearl Pureheart is portrayed as a damsel in distress.
