Paramount Global Wiki

Noggin is an entertainment brand that launched on February 2, 1999. During its early years, it was a television channel. It was relaunched as a mobile streaming app in 2015.

When it started, Noggin was mainly aimed at tweens. In 2002, it divided its schedule into two blocks: a daytime block for preschoolers, and a nighttime block for tweens and teens called "The N."

Noggin was shared by Viacom and Sesame Workshop when it launched. In 2002, Sesame Workshop ended its share, making Viacom the full owner. However, many of Sesame Workshop's shows continued to air on Noggin, including Sponk!, Play with Me Sesame, and The Upside Down Show.
