Jimmy is recruited by a top-secret government agency to become a spy, but what's even more thrilling is joining forces with his favorite action-hero movie star, Jet Fusion, in an effort to save the world from the villainous Professor Finbarr Calamitous and his daughter, Beautiful Gorgeous.
This episode is easily a spoof of the James Bond films, who is mentioned in the opening song.

Sheen claiming to have met Ultra Lord in person and Jimmy pointing out it was just a guy in a costume is a callback to the scene in the movie when he, Jimmy, Carl, and Nick snuck out to go to Retroland.

This episode was actually produced the same time as "Love Potion 976/J" (along with "A Beautiful Mine", "Sorry, Wrong Era", and "Holly Jolly Jimmy") because in the opening intro, it had some scenes from that episode.
The Jet Fusion movie Die Again Tomorrow Forever is a pun on the James Bond movies Die Another Day and Diamonds Are Forever.
When Professor Calamitous sings "I'm so glad we had this time together..." and he tugs on his ear, it is a reference to what Carol Burnett did at the end of each episode of The Carol Burnett Show.
When Jimmy approaches the tracking device in the ocean, we see a pineapple in the background as a SpongeBob SquarePants cameo.
