Paramount Communications

Paramount Communications was a predecessor of the original Viacom and as such, was the previous owner of Paramount Pictures and Paramount Television before Viacom took over ownership in 1994. Paramount Communications was previously known as Gulf and Western until 1989 when the name was changed and Paramount Communications served as its successor.
