Paramount Home Entertainment (previously named Paramount Home Video (1978-2002), Paramount Home Entertainment (2003-2011) and Paramount Home Media Distribution (2011-2019) is the home video division of Paramount Pictures that is responsible for the distribution of Paramount's film and television catalog, including films and shows from Nickelodeon and other ViacomCBS brands and divisions. They have released their titles on VHS, DVD (under the Paramount DVD label), HD DVD (2006-2008), Blu-Ray (2006-2007, secondary); (2008–present, primary)) and Laserdisc.

Until 2015, Paramount Home Entertainment used to distribute Paramount's back catalogue on it's own in the UK.

UK Distribution agreements

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (2015-2020)

In February 2015, PHMD signed a distribution agreement with Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, whereby the latter will distribute the former's titles overseas, particularly the territories where PHMD holds an office. The deal began on 1st July 2015.

Elevation Sales

On 14th July 2020, with the distributor change for Universal's titles in the UK, Paramount Home Entertainment signed a new UK home entertainment distribution deal with Elevation Sales (a joint venture between StudioCanal UK and Lionsgate UK), as well as signing other home entertainment distribution deals with Koch Media for Italy, Divisa Home Video for Spain, and Dutch FilmWorks for Benelux, all starting in January 2021.

Sub-labels

Paramount Famous Productions

Paramount Famous Productions was a sub-label of PHE, handling films released exclusively to home video formats without a theatrical release. This label was closed down in 2011.

Paramount DVD

Paramount DVD is a sub-label of PHE exclusively found on DVD releases, generally noted by a logo animation with a DVD flying into the Paramount mountain and taking the shape of the outline created by the mountain. The label was merged into Paramount Home Entertainment in 2019.

Paramount High Definition

Paramount High Definition is a sub-label focusing on home media releases of Paramount's film and television library in high definition video formats. The label was merged into Paramount Home Entertainment in 2019.

Fox-Paramount Home Entertainment

Fox-Paramount Home Entertainment is an international home video label formed from the combination with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment's operations that was launched in 2013. The label was closed down in 2020 after Disney acquires 21st Century Fox's properties (including 20th Century Fox [now 20th Century Studios]) in March 2019.
