"Present Danger" (originally titled "You Only Gift Twice") is the first episode of the sixth season, the two-hundred-forty-seventh episode, and the sixth-season premiere of The Loud House.

Plot[]

Dressed as David Steele, Lincoln is on the hunt for his stolen birthday present before it's destroyed.

Synopsis[]

Today is Lincoln's 12th birthday and has decided to celebrate by holding a David Steele themed party as Gus' Games and Grub. After Lincoln plays with his friends, who are dressed as some of David Steele's foes, Lincoln is ready to open his presents. Rita tells Lincoln that his father and grandfather have a special gift for him, as it was passed onto them when they turned 12 years old. Lynn Sr. and Leonard go get the gift, but discover that it's missing. Seeing the amount in distress in everyone, Lincoln proclaims that he'll get to the bottom of it.

Approaching Gus, who is standing behind the prize counter, Lincoln asks if he's seen anything suspicious happen. Gus says he didn't, but offers to show him the security room. However, the cameras are all blacked out after having been shot by darts. Rewinding the footage, Lincoln spots three potential suspects: Scoots, Flip and Chandler, all of whom are non-partygoers and were near the scene of the crime. Approaching the three suspects, who are sitting at the same table, Lincoln brokers a deal with them: they will play a game of Go Fish, and if he wins, they must empty out their pockets, but if he loses, he'll allow them to keep all of his birthday presents, much to the shock of the partygoers. The three tricksters accept the offer and after a long and tense match, Lincoln ends up winning, forcing the losers to empty their pockets, but is disappointed to learn they don't have his gift. Just as the partygoers are about to leave due to Gus saying their reservation is over (as they need to change up the place for the Fox quints' birthday), one of the arcade machines suddenly reveals a message saying that a mysterious person has his gift.

At night, Lincoln is in his room, trying to determine how he could find the thief that stole his special gift. He goes over to Lisa, who is revealed to be working on several inventions on how to help Lincoln find the thief. After being shown shoes that are spring-loaded and are capable of being used to walk on metal surfaces and a watch that doubles as a phone, Lincoln is suddenly called by the thief, who warns Lincoln that if he doesn't find him in 20 minutes, he'll destroy the gift. After locating the thief making his call from the Dairyland condo's construction site, Lincoln bemoans how he'll never make it there in time, Lisa also reveals that she modified Lola's jeep. After jumping in, Lincoln quicky drives over the thief's hideout.

Arriving to the construction site, the thief welcomes Lincoln and tells him that they're going to play a game of cat and mouse first. What follows afterwards is Lincoln going all over the construction site, trying to catch the thief, only to hit a dead end or fall for a trick, but managing to get himself free from Lisa's inventions. Eventually, Lincoln spots the thief entering a trailer. Upon entering, Lincoln demands the thief to reveal himself, and is revealed to be Rusty. Rusty explains that he has been planning this event out for months and had his cousin Derek teach him some of the more complicated parts of the plan like hacking the arcade machine to give him the threatening message and operating the crane, and that his change in voice was by using a voice modulator. Because of this whole experience, Lincoln thanks Rusty for the adventure.

Back at the Loud House, Lincoln finally opens his gift and discovers it's a copy of the very first issue of David Steele. After Lynn Sr. tells him that his father passed it onto him when he turned 12, Lincoln decides to call up Clyde to inform him of this news, but accidentally calls in Lola's modified jeep. Amazed by it, Lynn Sr. and Leonard want to ride in it, but only after a few seconds of riding it, Lola discovers her modified ride and is naturally furious. The three guys attempt to flee while Lola viciously chases after them, with Lincoln proclaiming to the viewers that "David Steele will return... hopefully."
