Shimmer and Shine is a Nickelodeon preschool franchise originally created by Farnaz Esnaashari-Charmatz as a 2013 tv pilot until it evolve into a 2015 tv series picked up by Nickelodeon as part of the Nick Jr. block in USA and then Treehouse TV in Canada two years later. several of the Tv specials of the franchise has been released during the TV show's run.


TV Pilot[]

The pilot episode of Shimmer and Shine was produced from January to November 2013. The show itself had begun production three years prior in 2010. The pilot, which was screened exclusively at Nickelodeon Animation Studio, was never shown on television.

All six main characters appeared in the pilot. An official logline or plot outline for the pilot has not been released.


TV series[]

Main article: Shimmer and Shine (television series)

After finishing the 2013 unaired pilot, It airs on Nickelodeon in the United States and on Treehouse in Canada. It premiered on Nickelodeon on August 24, 2015,[1] and three seasons of the series have aired. Each season contains twenty episodes, not including an unaired pilot from 2013. The first season used hand-drawn animation, with the series switching to CGI animation with its second season.[2].
