The Smithsonian Channel is a premium television channel owned by ViacomCBS through ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks. It offers video content from the Smithsonian Institution located in Washington D.C. The programming generally focuses on culture, history, and nature. It was launched on September 26, 2007, as a joint venture between Showtime Networks and the institution.
