TeenNick is a television network under the Nickelodeon brand. It is owned by Paramount Media Networks. As its name states, the demographic audience is aimed at teenagers between the ages of 13-19 years old.
The channel takes its name from TEENick, a former block on Nickelodeon. When the TeenNick channel was first announced in March 2009, its name was spelled "TEENick" like the block it was based on. Longtime actor Nick Cannon was the host of both the TEENick block and the TeenNick channel until 2018.
TeenNick usually airs original live-action programming but films and acquired programs are also common. From July 2011 until January 2022, TeenNick aired older Nickelodeon shows during the nighttime; this block was most recently known as NickRewind.
