Teen Mom is the 2009 MTV reality television documentary franchise created by Lauren Dolgen for the MTV Entertainment Group. 16 and Pregnant is the first of the Teen Mom franchise debuted in 2009, when MTV took the reality TV genre in a controversial new direction, documenting the real-life struggles of teenagers in the midst of unplanned pregnancies.
16 and Pregnant has spawned five spin-off series: Teen Mom, Teen Mom 2, Teen Mom 3, Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, and 16 and Recovering, which premiered on September 1, 2020.
In September 2020, MTV announced a revival of the original series, which premiered on October 6, 2020.

Teen Mom (renamed Teen Mom OG starting with the fifth season) is an American reality television series broadcast by MTV. It is the first spin-off of 16 and Pregnant, and it focuses on the lives of several young mothers as they navigate motherhood and strained family and romantic relationships. The show's reception started in 2016 when a New York Times study of the 50 TV shows with the most Facebook Likes found that Teen Mom was "most popular in rural Kentucky and least popular in New York City. As with 16 and Pregnant, it's much more popular among women — 94 percent of 'likes' come from women, second only to Pretty Little Liars". The shows's ratings even had The pilot episode was the network's highest-rated premiere in over a year, with 2.1 million total viewers.

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant, (stylised as Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant) is an American reality television series that premiered on March 12, 2018 on MTV. It is a spinoff of the Teen Mom franchise (also known as the "16 and Pregnant" franchise). The plot of this spinoff follows the lives of different teenage moms: Brianna Jaramillo, Kayla Sessler, Rachel Beaver, Kiaya Elliott, Madisen Beith, Kayla Jones and formerly Lexi Tatman, Jade Cline and Ashley Jones as they go through pregnancy and become young mothers. On June 27, 2018, the show's first season was extended to include a B season, that began airing on October 15 and concluded on December 17, 2018.

Teen Mom: Young Moms Club[]
Teen Mom: Young Moms Club is an American reality television series on MTV. It premiered on August 30, 2018 as Pretty Little Mamas before being pulled and retooled under the Teen Mom franchise name in 2019. Pretty Little Mamas followed the lives of five young moms who also happen to be close friends - as they learn to struggle with life, love, parenthood, and careers.

In September 2020, MTV announced a revival of the original series, which premiered on October 6, 2020. The sixth season of "16 and Pregnant" aired in March of 2021 (via Showbiz Cheat Sheet). Before that, the show had been on hiatus and was rebooted in the fall of 2020.
