The Fairly Odd Phantom is a crossover short film released on Nickelodeon's YouTube page on February 21, 2017, featuring all the Nicktoons created by Butch Hartman. It serves as a teaser trailer for Bunsen Is a Beast and is also the first animated production featuring the Danny Phantom and T.U.F.F. Puppy characters since their respective shows were cancelled.[1]
A follow-up comic, also titled "The Fairly Odd Phantom", was given out at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con.
Plot[]
One day while hanging out in the lab, Danny, Tucker, Sam, and Jazz get surprise visits from Timmy Turner, Cosmo, Wanda, Dudley Puppy, and Kitty Katswell after Dudley messes with the Ghost Portal and meet a new addition to Butch Hartman's Nickelodeon character of the family.
Cast of Characters[]
- Danny Fenton/Danny Phantom, voiced by David Kaufman.
- Sam Mansion and Kitty Katswell, voiced by Grey Deslie.
- Tucker Foley, voiced by Rickey D'Shon Collins.
- Jazz Fenton, voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey.
- Timmy Turner, voiced by Tara Strong.
- Cosmo, voiced by Daran Norris.
- Wanda, voiced by Susanne Blakeslee.
- Dudley Puppy, voiced by Jerry Trainor.
- Bunsen, voiced by Jeremy Rowley.
Trivia[]
- Hartman initially meant for this short to be set in Timmy Turner's bedroom before settling for the Fenton household.
Notes[]
- Coincidentally, both Dudley and Bunsen's voice actors worked together on iCarly.
- Danny and his friends do not seem to recognize Timmy and his fairies, despite having teamed up with them in the Nicktoons Unite! series. This could technically be a prequel to those games, but in the follow-up comic, Cosmo mentions Poof, who was born after the games were released. This is likely an indication either or both are non-canon to their respective series.
