The Thundermans Return is an American superhero film written by Jed Spingarn and directed by Trevor Kirschner. It is based on the 2013 live-action series The Thundermans created by Spingarn and is produced by Nickelodeon Studios, with Zack Olin and Shauna Phelan serving as producers and Spingarn, Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Dan Cross and David Hoge executive producing. It stars Kosarin and Griffo, following their characters twins Phoebe and Max after getting sent back to live with their folks. It also stars Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Maya Le Clark, Chris Tallman, Rosa Blasi and Dana Snyder all of which reprising their roles from the original series. It premiered on March 7, 2024 on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.[1]

Plot[]
The movie follows the superpowered family as they begin a new era of superhero crimefighting. Twins Phoebe and Max are enjoying their superhero lifestyle, but when one ‘save’ goes awry, the Thundermans are sent back to Hiddenville. While Hank and Barb enjoy their return, and Billy and Nora look forward to a normal high school life, Max and Phoebe are determined to regain their superhero status.

On March 2, 2023, it was announced that a follow-up movie based on Nickelodeon’s popular live-action series The Thundermans was in the works for premiere on Nickelodeon. The Thundermans Return will go into production in April, Nickelodeon Studios announced Thursday. The feature-length film will continue the sitcom’s story of a superhero family trying to pass as normal folks in suburbia, and it will reunite original cast members Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo, Addison Riecke, Diego Velazquez, Maya Le Clark, Chris Tallman and Rosa Blasi. The live-action comedy ran for four seasons; its series finale aired in 2018. The movie’s premiere date has not yet been announced. The Thundermans was created and executive-produced by Jed Spingarn (Big Time Rush); he’ll fill the same roles on the movie. The Thundermans Return is written and executive produced by Jed Spingarn (Big Time Rush, Jimmy Neutron) and directed by Trevor Kirschner (The Thundermans, Raven’s Home, The Conners). Kira Kosarin is executive producing. Jack Griffo is also an executive producer on the movie. Dan Cross & David Hoge also serve as executive producers.
