Westinghouse Electric Corporation was an American manufacturing company found by George Westinghouse in 1886. The company acquired CBS in 1995 and was later acquired by Viacom in 1999 while being renamed the CBS Corporation.
Westinghouse Electric Company became the successor of Viacom. In August 2019, the Westinghouse brand is managed by Westinghouse Licensing Corporation which handles intellectual properties related to Westinghouse trademarks from 1886 to 1996.
